Social Distancing Dos and Don’ts - As Explained by the Raga Cats
For those of you who haven’t been following my life for silly reasons like “too busy trying to keep up with life” and “drowning in responsibilities,” I will forgive you. And I will share the latest and most important life announcement: I now have three new raga cats!
This is Kaapi. He is usually found contemplating the deeper questions in life, like “am I the cat food or the cat?” and “where is the food?”
This is Bhairavi. She is sick of having her cuteness taken for granted and needs the human to look up from their laptop and pick her up already.
This is Todi. She is 80% eyes at this point.
Add my older brats Kalyani and Dhwani, and we have five cats. That’s more cats than humans at home. In other words, the optimum ratio.
These furballs came into my life at the perfect time and I could not be more grateful for them. They walk on the keyboard and send messages on my behalf, and they watch me patiently as I work. Kaapi has decided that it is a waste of effort to walk to his food bowl; he sits where he is and meows until someone carries him there.
As the proud owner of five cats, you can imagine what my photo gallery looks like. And if you can’t, don’t worry; I will be extremely generous and show you.
Here’s presenting the dos and don’ts of staying at home, as explained by my cat babies:
Do: Maintain six feet distance from each other
Do: Wash up regularly
Do: think about whether it’s essential to go out.
Do: eat at home as much as possible
Don’t: stress about your weight at a time like this
Don’t: touch faces. Yours or others’.
Do: pursue a hobby
Do: catch up on reading
Don’t: overwork yourself
Do: catch up on that show you’ve always wanted to watch.
And there you have it - a handy guide on the best ways to carry on at a time like this. Rest assured that there are plenty more where these pictures came from; I will continue to share them with you. Until then, please stay home and stay safe.
